about me

I am a Mindfulness Based Psychotherapist trained at the Karuna Institute, which combines Western and Eastern Psychological Theory with a Mindfulness based underpinning.  I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (Level 1).  I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and hold full insurance.  I am happy to work with clients face to face or online or a mixture of both.  My therapy room is a calm relaxing space on a farm near Perranporth in Cornwall.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Drama & Theatre, an MSc in Business and a MA in Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy.  I have spent many years working both in the arts and commercial industry and have a lived understanding of the pressures and issues that modern working life can throw at us.  I am also a mother to four children.

There may be many reasons why you are considering coming to therapy and whatever they may be I offer a  caring and supportive space where you can feel safe in looking at areas of your life that may be causing you some difficulty or distress or that you simply have some curiosity about exploring.

Core Process Therapy works with the body, mind and awareness to inquire into, at a deep level, what experiences and patterns may have led you to where you are right now.  By looking gently yet closely at your history you can begin a journey back to yourself and the people and world around you.

If you are struggling with a particular issue, such as anxiety, alienation, perfectionism, an eating disorder, addiction or impulsive behaviour, approaching and accepting your ways of being with compassion and mindfulness can lead to profound self-realisation, integration and healing.  Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy can help you find a path through the tangled places we all sometimes find ourselves in.
